If you have scoliosis, sleep can feel a little different - and that’s completely normal. Your spine rests differently at night, so finding the right position may take a bit more time and patience.

Small changes like better pillow support, gentle stretches, or adjusting how you lie down can make sleep more comfortable and less frustrating.

Dr. Zondo is a specialist in scoliosis treatment, and can guide you toward the support and care your spine needs.🩶

It’s easy to assume leg pain starts in the leg but the real issue could be a bit higher up.

When a disc in your spine irritates a nerve, your brain can “feel” that pain in your leg instead. It’s one of those sneaky cases where the symptom and the source don’t quite match.

Getting a professional opinion early matters - it helps pinpoint what’s actually causing the pain so you can treat it properly (and stop guessing).

In South Africa, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men are affected by osteoporosis - a condition that causes bones to become fragile and break easily, sometimes without any obvious fall or injury.

What you do now - from your diet and exercise to lifestyle choices - helps protect your bones for years to come at every age.

If you need a specialist bone assessment, Dr. Zondo is here to walk that path with you.🦴

You’ve probably heard that sugar messes with your energy, but did you know it can also affect your spine?

When blood sugar levels stay high for a long time, it can slow down circulation, make bones weaker, and delay recovery after an injury - but keeping your sugar stable helps your spine stay stronger, supports your joints, and keeps you moving comfortably for longer.

If you’re managing diabetes and notice ongoing back pain or stiffness, you can book a check-up with Dr. Zondo through the link in our bio.🩶

Arthritis in the spine doesn’t look the same for everyone.

While ageing is one of the most common reasons, other factors like family history and obesity can increase the risk.

The important thing to remember is that spinal arthritis can be managed. Early diagnosis, lifestyle changes (exercise, movement therapies, dieting etc.) and the right treatment can help slow progression and keep you moving with less pain.

Book a consultation with Dr. Zondo for an expert opinion.💪🏽
