3 Developing Core strength
Core muscles activate highly during running, jumping, rebounding and plyometric exercises. A poorly developed trunk only provides a weak support for the limbs of the body i.e. the arms and legs. The muscles around the hip (iliopsoas, abdominals, glutes, quads) all add support to the core, and these must be included into a well-rounded training program for risk reduction of injuries and sporting performance

Structural Kinesiology is the study of the muscles, bones and joints as they are involved in the science of movement.

The treatment of an injury and returning a patient back to sport and daily movement requires an individualised approach from assessment to program prescription. We all are unique and all move differently. Biokinetics allows us to help restore balance as much as your body allows it too, with exercise as medicine being our modality and speciality.

📈Subjective Questionnaire : KOOS📉

The Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS)was developed with the purpose of evaluating short-term and long-term symptoms and function in subjects with knee injury and osteoarthritis. The KOOS holds five separately scored subscales: Pain, other Symptoms, Function in daily living (ADL), Function in Sport and Recreation (Sport/Rec), and knee-related Quality of Life (QOL).
The KOOS has been validated for several orthopaedic interventions such as anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, meniscectomy and total knee replacement.

This is of a patient (permission granted to share) of a 16 month progress of an ACL reconstruction process.
