Scientists have discovered that lauric acid, a component of breast milk, has antibacterial, acne-fighting qualities. Dabbing breast milk (or a mixture of breast milk and coconut oil, another source of lauric acid) on your face, then letting it air dry, may help clear up acne.

Sometimes, acne clears up almost immediately after giving birth. For others, acne continues for several weeks or months. It really depends on how long it takes for your hormone level to return to (your) normal. Also, keep in mind that breastfeeding can also increase your hormone levels.

Although acne affects women during pregnancy, it disappears after the baby is born. The hormone levels get back to normal, so the pimples usually go away after delivery. However, postpartum acne is when the acne does not disappear even after childbirth, and pimples continue to develop.

Some pregnant women develop dark irregular patches on their face most commonly on the upper cheek, nose, lips, and forehead. This is called ‘chloasma’. It is also sometimes known as ‘melasma’ or the ‘mask of pregnancy’.

Chloasma is thought to be due to stimulation of pigment-producing cells by female s*x hormones so that they produce more melanin pigments (dark coloured pigments) when the skin is exposed to sun. Some women develop these patches when they take oral contraceptives (the pill).

When you are pregnant your body produces 50% more blood, resulting in more blood circulation through your body. This increase in blood circulation causes your face to be brighter. Your body is also producing a fair amount of hormones that cause your oil glands to work in overdrive, leaving your face shiny.

What week do cravings start in pregnancy?
If you do start having cravings, it'll probably be in your first trimester (it could be as early as 5 weeks into pregnancy). They'll get stronger in your second trimester, and then eventually stop in your third trimester. Cravings come in all shapes and sizes. Some women crave fatty foods like chips.

For most women, cravings start in the first trimester, peaking during the second trimester, and declining in the third. Doctors say that few cravings continue after delivery, so you won't keep eating the same strange things forever.

For many women, changes to the breasts are one of the earliest signs of pregnancy. And your breasts will continue to change as your pregnancy progresses.

Pregnancy affects levels of the hormones estrogen and progesterone in your body. These hormones play an important role in readying the breasts for lactation and are responsible for many of the changes you may experience.

Many women experience breast changes in early pregnancy – in fact, it's often the first sign you're pregnant. Surging hormones and a shift in breast structure mean your ni***es and breasts may feel sensitive and tender from as early as three or four weeks.
