MEC for Health and Wellness, Faith Mazibuko , is now at Johan Heyns Hospital. The facility is currently undergoing renovations as it is being converted from a Community Health Centre into a hospital.

In the meantime, healthcare services continue to be provided to the public from the existing facility, while work is underway at the Gateway Clinic to accommodate patients during this period.

MEC for Health and Wellness, Faith Mazibuko, is currently at Kopanong Hospital in Vereeniging for a service delivery oversight visit.

MEC is assessing key infrastructure challenges affecting service delivery and also visited Wards 1 and 2, where Ward 2 was previously used as a psychiatric ward, to observe the progress of the refurbishment work currently underway at the facility.

MEC further emphasised the importance of maintaining clean hospital grounds to promote a safe and dignified healthcare environment.

MEC for Health and Wellness, Faith Mazibuko, is visiting Rustervaal Clinic to explore solutions to revamp and reopen the facility so that it can continue serving the community.

The facility is currently closed due to a combination of operational and infrastructure challenges. The visit also aims to engage with the community on the challenges they are experiencing.

A mobile clinic will be made available for now to serve the residents at the community hall.
Currently, patients are receiving healthcare services at Market Avenue Clinic in Vereeniging.
