A little story about a chocolate cake…
In 2020, during a strange and uncertain year, I started baking what became known as Izzy’s Chocolate Cake. At the time I truly thought it would just be a small, short chapter — something to get us through that year.
But something unexpected happened. What was meant to last a few months grew into something much bigger. Over the past few years these cakes have found their way into so many homes and celebrations, and this little chocolate cake has quietly carried me through some challenging seasons too. During this time I’ve also completed my family, which makes this chapter feel even more special when I look back.
Now it feels like the right moment for a change. I have a new project that has been slowly percolating behind the scenes, and I’m so excited to finally start giving it my attention.
So for the next couple of weeks, I’ll keep baking Izzy’s Chocolate Cake while my packaging lasts — and then this chapter will gently come to a close. I would love for you to grab one (or a few!) before they disappear.
