The encounter. The trekking through the dense forest was a journey on its own and as mentioned previously, without the Sherpa's help, I would not have made it. The forest is simply breathtaking with multiple other species to see. It's humid and filled with forest fragrances. Seeing the Habinyanja Gorilla Family for the first time was simply humbling. They where taking their midday nap so we where privileged to see them all together as a family. A memorable experience indeed.

Uganda, the land of tea and coffee. From Kihihi landing strip the road takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest close to the boarder of Congo. Every patch of land has been utilized for planting tea, coffee, cassava and other tropical fruits. Indeed a picturesque fruit basket.
