The Power of Movement After Salt Therapy 🐴💨
One of the things I love observing after a salt treatment is just how effective movement is in helping horses clear their airways.

After a session, when the salt has had time to work its magic, breaking down mucus and reducing inflammation, controlled gentle movement really encourages the body to do the rest. I often notice the horses start to blow out, cough a little, or expel snot as they walk or trot around. It’s like their respiratory system finally gets a chance to reset.

This natural clearing is such a great sign. It tells me their bodies are responding well and making use of the salt therapy. Movement helps loosen and expel the stuff that doesn’t belong, and the horses usually seem more relaxed and comfortable afterward.

It’s a gentle but powerful combo: salt + movement = relief 💗

🌿💙 A Huge Thank You to Thistledown Treatments By Mikayla Heunis! 💙🌿

We wanted to take a moment to share how incredibly impressed we are with Thistledown Treatments By Mikayla Heunis. They've now visited us twice for their Equine Salt Spa, and the results have been absolutely amazing.

We had a range of horses treated, from older, hardworking horses to those with skin conditions. One of our top-performing horses had a bad reaction to a flu vaccination, which led to a full-body tie-up. After just two salt spa sessions, the difference has been remarkable — it’s like having new horses. They’re feeling better, moving better, and recovering much faster.

The Equine Salt Spa has been a game changer for us, improving respiratory health, circulation, and performance. It’s such a calming and effective treatment, and our horses seem to absolutely enjoy it.

Thank you, Penny Lazarus Jones and Oliver Lazarus , for recommending this treatment! We’ll definitely be continuing to use it for our horses. It’s made a world of difference, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
