The letter from Gogo Muntu Segage is not from the Head Office and the Organization is not affiliated with any polical party but we do not stop our members from excersizing their right to be affiliated with the political party of their choice.

Immediate Release

Johannesburg, 24 February 2025 –

The Traditional Healers Organization (THO) and the CRL Rights Commission, under the leadership of Chairperson Mrs. Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva, convened today to forge a stronger partnership in safeguarding cultural and religious rights.

Recognizing the multifaceted role of Traditional Health Practitioners (THPs) as pillars of community and custodians of indigenous knowledge, THO highlighted the urgent need to combat the exploitation of their practices by criminal elements.

THO and the CRL Rights Commission agreed to collaborate on public education initiatives and proposed national conferences to address critical concerns, including:
* Combating ritualistic killings and mutilations.
* Ending persecution of THPs under the guise of "witch-hunts."
* Providing accurate information on spiritual phenomena.
* Facilitating public discourse on relevant legislation.
* Addressing graveyard recycling challenges.

This meeting represents a renewed commitment to collaborative action for the benefit of all communities.
