PRESS STATEMENT ISSUED BY THE BOLSHEVIKS PARTY OF SOUTH AFRICA.
– ANC GOVERNMENT LIMPOPO ON A KILLING SPREE AGAIN.
Reference: Ndlovu Care Group in Moutse!
The Ndlovu Care Group, a registered NPO (019-524) and PBO (9300002417) has been a group of individuals working in the Moutse I Area from 1994 in the field of Health, Child Care, Research and Community Development registered as Ndlovu Medical Trust (IT 10961/99) with the Trust being a registered NGO and a Public Benefit Organization.
The Ndlovu Care Group (NCG) initiated the third free ARV roll-out program in South Africa in 2003 and has initiated over 20 000 HIV patients in different treatment sites. Currently it has over 3800 patients on ARVs and its program which NCG executes in cooperation with the Department of Health Limpopo as its main partner has saved many lives and or extended on life cycles.
Ndlovu Care Group Child care Programs has approximately 3500 children in its multi-varied child care program at different sites in Sekhukhune, from nutritional to pre-school, computer schools and after schools educational support to disability care programs for music, drama and arts programs, with NCG has for over 25 years been involved in local community development, local capacity building and job creation.
The NGO has over 160 employees of which 80 comes from the rural environment that they work in and are currently very much involved in the research and roll pout of the first HIV Vaccination in HVTN705 trials.
Amazingly despite its unblemished record that it has built up over the past 25 years it has now been told by the Limpopo Department of Health in late February 2018 that it must off-load its patients onto the local municipalities, whereas it is common knowledge to know that these exact facilities cannot even cope with their present workload.
The instruction for them to offload their care program in all of its sphere and spectrums originating from the offices of (Dr’s Kgapola, D***o and Kobola) and that this off-loading of patients should start in April to be completed in June.
One don’t have to look very deep into this kind of instruction to see the resemblance of the fiasco of what happened to 158 patients at the Life Esidimeni Centre, so its modus operandi in this regard especially in that local facilities cannot even cope with their present workload makes the decision and the instruction forwarded onto this Institution as highly questionable.
The present facility has been functionally efficiently and effectively providing privacy to patients for 25 years and now that human right to privacy and dignity are being taken away from them to be exposed at public facilities.
The exact reasons for this off-loading of patients to municipally controlled facilities do not make any sense whatsoever.
At and during the time that Moutse was a cross boundary area and a referendum was held to ascertain the wishes of the people and government ultimately deciding to demarcate the area into Limpopo everything that was being supplied and delivered by Mpumalanga was working, but true to nature and its knowledge, experience and wisdom of how things are supposed to perform at its optimum levels, noting that was working before was turned into something was tuned into something that was not working any longer, and all this just happening in the name of change more so for the worse of it,
This being a classical example of something that has been working for the past 23 years, now need to be changed for the sake of change and no other real reason.
As Bolsheviks Party we strongly oppose this kind of repeat of a recent fiasco and seek your immediate intervention to reverse the decision taken for the Ndlovu Care Group to offload its patients and for the local Government not to fund this initiative any more.
Change for no apperent reason...
