Our Story

We are Weiners Training Development Academy. We are a health care education institution that prides ourselves on delivering an education that is superior to any other college. Weiners, based in Sandton, is a training facility that offers training and the opportunity to gain a recognized qualification.

Caring for another human being is a noble and humbling occupation. Many people rely on Carers for their day to day living activities and also for companionship. Carers play an important role in looking after the elderly, people that cannot look after themselves e.g. Alzheimer’s patients, para and quadriplegics, and also for “end of life” care for those that have a terminal illnesses.

The relationship that a Carer has with the person he/ she is looking after is based on trust. Some Carers become part of the family and travel with their charge, seldom leaving their side. Some responsibilities include: assisting the elderly or the sick (patient) with personal care and hygiene (showering, bathing, dressing and un******ng, hair and nail care, mouth care), supervising and administering medication, assisting with mobility, monitoring nutritional intake and fluids, assisting with light household duties, preparing basic meals.

Weiners Training Development Academy is HWSETA accredited to offer two courses that will equip the learner to be a Carer, both are South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) approved and lead tom registration with Health and Welfare Sector Education Training Authority (HWSETA).
