Mixing it up for my leg workout, usually it's heavy squats and lots of it, but I decided to throw in some lunges instead:

1. Straight leg deadlifts x drop sets x 3
2. Barbell lunges 3x 10,8,6
3. Seated calf raises 3x12
4. Adductor and abductor supersets using a band - 3 sets of each on each side non stop in a circuit fashion
5. Sit-ups 3 x 1min
6. Double crunches 3x 25
7. Left/right crunch 3x25
8. Plank 3 x1min

Great pump, and can feel the hamstrings got worked hard.

THURSDAY TIP !!

One of the rarely discussed function of BCAAs is its role in countering exercise-induced fatigue.

When you exercise, blood levels of the amino acid Tryptophan increases, which then goes into your brain and make you feel tired.

When BCAAs are present in the blood, they inhibit the uptake of Tryptophan. This counters fatigue.

However, the BCAAs must be in the 2:1:1 ratio of Leucine: Isoleucine: Valine as in ViGO BCAAs. Overhyped higher ratio products do not provide enough Isoleucine and Valine to product a benefit. Their "formulators" must attend Biochemistry classes.

That is why we recommend our BCAAs during training, whether you are into gym and fitness or endurance sports.
