Witkoppen Clinic offers a Pharmacy Assistant Therapy (PAT) service for minor illnesses.

🕢 Operating Hours: 07h30 – 16h00
💰 Cost: R50

This service allows patients to:
• Collect their file
• Make payment
• Proceed directly to the pharmacy

Please note:
❌ No clinician consultation
❌ No vital signs taken

The PAT service is available for minor conditions only, such as:
• Headaches
• Running tummy
• Flu-like symptoms

Ts & Cs apply. Patients will be assessed at the pharmacy to determine eligibility for this service.

Witkoppen Clinic: New Operating Hours – 2026

As we begin the New Year, Witkoppen Clinic would like to inform all patients of our updated operating hours. Please take note of the following:

Operating Hours (Weekdays):
• Mainstream (First-Come, First-Served): 07h00 – 16h00
• Tswelopele (Booked Appointments): 07h00 – 18h30
• Emergency Room (ER): 07h30 – 16h00
• Pharmacy: 07h00 – 19h00
• File Collection: 06h00 – 16h00

Weekends & Public Holidays:
🚫 Closed

Please note that patient queue numbers may be limited, and admissions may close earlier due to capacity. We encourage patients to arrive early, as mainstream services operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

In case of an emergency outside operating hours, on weekends, or public holidays, please contact emergency or ambulance services on 10111.

⚠️ Kindly note: Witkoppen Clinic will be closed on the last working day of March and September each year for stock-taking.

🌟 Meet Lerroy Katlego Steven Mohale 🌟

Meet Lerroy, a dedicated and inspiring member of the Witkoppen Clinic family. His journey with us began in 2022 as a Yes4Youth clinical intern, where he worked at the urine station, assisted with vitals, and managed specimen results. From day one, Lerroy showed passion, discipline, and a genuine commitment to patient care.

When the Yes4Youth programme ended, his hard work didn’t go unnoticed. In 2023, Lerroy was absorbed into the clinic and promoted to Laboratory Support Systems. Today, he captures and ensures the quality of pap smears, bloods, sputa, urine samples, PCR tests, and abnormal results—a role perfectly suited to him, thanks to his BSc qualification in Biochemistry, Pathophysiology, and Pure Chemistry.

Witkoppen Clinic has proudly supported his growth by offering CPR training and Nerve Center Approach training, both of which strengthened his clinical skillset. In 2025, he expanded his impact by joining the Infection Control Committee, Employment Equity Committee, and the Waste Management team.

Lerroy continues to serve with excellence, and compassion—embodying the values that make our clinic stronger every day.

He leaves us with this powerful quote that mirrors his journey:

✨ Celebrating a Generous Contribution to Our OVC Children ✨

Witkoppen Clinic is proud to share the incredible support we recently received from Vehicle Exports, who generously donated Trustees school shoes and snacks to our OVC (Orphans & Vulnerable Children) site in Lion Park.

This donation came at the perfect time, as many of our children are preparing for the new school year. For some, having a reliable pair of school shoes can be a challenge — yet it makes a world of difference in their daily lives, confidence, and comfort at school.

Thanks to Vehicle Exports, our OVC children will now begin their 2026 school year with brand-new, durable school shoes, ensuring they walk into their classrooms with pride, dignity, and readiness to learn. Their excitement and gratitude on the day of the handover was truly moving. 💙

We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the positive impact it brings to our young ones. Initiatives like these strengthen our work and help us continue supporting vulnerable children in meaningful ways.

From 27 - 31 December, we’ll be open with temporary hours: 07:30 - 15:30.

On all other days throughout the festive season, we’ll be open, fully operational, and ready to take care of you.

Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre

Witkoppen Centre provides comprehensive, curative, promotive, and preventative primary healthcare in response to the changing needs of the community. We provide health and social services at a nominal cost inclusive of all medications to patients who can afford it, or free of charge to those who cannot. With the constantly increasing rural-to-urban migration patterns, the need for medical, psychosocial and social services provided at Witkoppen is always increasing. On average, Witkoppen provides comprehensive primary healthcare services to over 8 500 patients each month. In addition to the main facility situated at 105 William Nicol Drive, Fourways, there are three community-based satellite sites in the informal settlements of Msawawa, Thabo Mbeki and Diepsloot. Our mobile clinic and community health workers (CHWs) provide community HIV Testing Services (HTS) and linkage to care services, in addition to screening and treatment of both communicable and non-communicable diseases. We also conduct outreach events and health talks on a regular basis in these communities.
