Cancer and cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy and certain medications can affect the way food and drinks taste. Food may taste unpleasant, bland, metallic, sweet or salty. Though these taste changes are often temporary, there are things you can do to help, like serving foods cold or at room temperature.
