FILLINGS/RESTORATIONS

Done to treat teeth with cavities or fractured/cracked teeth. Decay is removed and the cavity is restored with composite/amalgam material. Composite is the tooth colored material and Amalgam is the silver material. We do not do silver fillings at our practice. We only do composite restorations which match your tooth color.

It's best to do fillings when the cavity is not yet too deep , which means the filling will last longer. When cavities are too deep you might experience sensitivity and in some cases it's better to do a root canal or extraction.

If you have a cavity OR sensitive tooth get it checked soon to avoid complications. Keep up with your six months dental check ups so any issues can be detected early and treated before they advance.

What can be achieved by a simple dental cleaning. Hardened plaque with staining is not normal and it can be removed.

Hope everyone is keeping safe as we start the 21day Lockdown. Our offices are now closed due to the lockdown. Please stay home.

You can inbox your queries for emergencies and other dental related questions. We will update you as to when the offices will be open for emergency treatments ( extractions, swelling, extreme pain). Should there be enough bookings we will schedule a day maybe once a week for these treatments. Other non essential treatments ( small fillings, cleaning, tooth jewellery...) are prohibited, will not be paid for by medical aids and therefore will not be done.

Please work with us in ensuring we make this happen smoothly by following the instructions below.

1) Please make enquiries or bookings via our telephone and social media (instagram and facebook in boxes) to limit exposure and unnecessary contact. This allows us to keep patient numbers controlled at our reception and prepare for the next patient . You can also whatsapp on our cellphone line.

2) Please avoid coming in groups, or accompanying patients unless extremely necessary (underaged children or medically assisted patients)
