I'm often asked "What books should I read as an aspiring or growing property investor?" Here are 3 of my recommendations (beyond the usual suspects):
📚 "Never eat alone" by Keith Ferrazzi. I've lived in SA for 25 years now but I was born and raised in Italy and food is a big thing in Italy, not just in terms of what we eat, but most importantly because of the social importance of getting together as family, friends and business associates. Property is a people's business. Want to fast track your property success? Have more lunches and dinners with other property people
📚 "The 100-year life" by Lynda Gratton & Andrew J. Scott. How do we change how we live, work and invest when our life gets longer and longer? Essential reading for those that still think they can save their way to financial "peace mind"
📚 "Atomic Habits" by James Clear, because becoming (and remaining" a successful property investor is more a matter of what we do regularly than anything else. Especially useful for those that lament a lack of time in their lives to find the right deals
And how do you make the most of these resources? Here are my 2 hacks:
Use audiobooks. I love Audible. Convenient and also much cheaper than printed books as I read a lot.
Treat this books like you would treat a university text-book. Use highlighters, take plenty of notes and share / discuss content with others as often as you can.
Property will do very well in 2026 for those with the right knowledge & skills, tools, expert support and willingness to take the right action. I look forward to continue to be of value to your property journey
