Over 11 kilograms lost in only 30 days, well done Cindy, we look forward to your end result!

Hi, my name is Cindy. I am 39 yrs old and weighed 81.7kgs. I recently attended a family get together up in Nelspruit... And boy was I shocked by the family photo's!!! I needed a change, I needed to lose weight!!! Not a quick fix but a permanent fix. I started out doing something on my own but soon realised it wasn't enough so I contacted TFS Health and Fitness. I'll be honest I was a bit of a sceptic being let down before.... BUT... To my surprise... I was actually what I needed. I was not only losing weight but was gaining muscle and my sluggish tiredness became "energizer bunny". I am not even half way through my 12 week challenge and am over joyed by the results I am getting. A healthy lifestyle, mental and physical wellness. If I could recommend this to anyone I most definitely would. You have helpful advise from your coach, meals plans set out for and a exercise plan as you progress. What I enjoy most about it is that you eat healthy and even though your exercises are not long and dragged out they have phenomenal results...

We’ve all looked up to someone and felt inspired. It could be our parents, a friend, a teacher or a celebrity. It’s fine to have role models, but when you lean too heavily on someone else, you lose sight of who you are. You’ll never be a perfect imitation of someone else. Let others help inspire you, but work to become your own hero. Become someone you respect and admire. Look no further than your own reflection – change your way of thinking and take control of your life, and you’ll be much happier for it.

1. OTHERS CAN’T SUCCEED FOR YOU.
So you want to be just like Taylor Swift? That’s great. You might idolize her and try to mimic her, but guess what, her success isn’t yours. No role model can make you successful. You have to do it yourself. While you’re wasting time following her successes, you’re missing out on your own.

2. YOUR GOALS AREN’T LIKE ANYONE ELSE’S.
Your life and goals are different from anyone else in the world. Why follow in someone else’s footsteps? Your path to success is going to be different. Following someone else might just lead to failure. Lead the way and inspire yourself to achieve your goals.

3. IT MAKES YOU ACCOUNTABLE.
It’s easy to blame your heroes when things go wrong. Maybe they weren’t particularly inspiring that week or they didn’t tell you “good job.” You’re not their responsibility. The moment you decide to be your own inspiration, you start holding yourself accountable for your actions.

4. OTHER HEROES COME AND GO.
Odds are, the people you look up to will leave or disappoint you in some way at some point. Then what will you do? You’re not going to leave yourself. What better person to look up to? Having a consistent role model in your life keeps you from making excuses and giving up.

5. IT MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON.
You obviously want to be like someone who has their life together. When you look to yourself, you stop procrastinating and start making positive changes in your life. You start becoming someone you’re proud to be. One day you look in the mirror and realize you truly are the best role model for yourself.

6. OUR VIEWS OF OTHER ROLE MODELS ARE SKEWED.
Here’s a harsh truth: your heroes aren’t perfect. They have problems. They fail. They have bad days. When all you see is perfection, it’s impossible to ever be like them. This just makes you feel bad about yourself. You know yourself, including your strengths and weaknesses. You know you’re not perfect and it makes you a better role model.

7. YOU’RE THE ONE WHO HAS TO MAKE THE CHOICES.
In the end, you’re the one who has to make all the choices regarding what you do with your life. You could idolize someone for years, but they’re not going to make sure you make the right choices to achieve your goals. You have to motivate yourself enough to make all the choices yourself.

8. IT BOOSTS YOUR CONFIDENCE.
When you see yourself as the hero of your own story, you instantly feel more confident. It makes you feel like you have control over your life. You know your successes are your own.

9. YOU STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF.
It’s amazing how some people lose who they are when they get obsessed with being just like someone else. As your own role model, you’re able to stay true to yourself. You don’t have to sacrifice your beliefs or become someone you’re not comfortable being. The only person you have to be is you.

10. YOU CAN INSPIRE OTHERS.
The respect you have for yourself, the hard work you do and the confidence you have helps you become a role model for others. The best part is since you’re staying true to you, you’re a more realistic inspiration to those around you. Plus, having others look up to you boosts your confidence even more.

11. YOU’RE MORE LIKELY TO ACT ON YOUR GOALS.
If you’re the only one accountable for your success, you’re more likely to act on your goals. You don’t want to let your hero down, which means you don’t want to let yourself down. The pressure of being a role model pushes you to work harder to succeed.

12. YOU’RE ONLY OUT TO IMPRESS YOURSELF.
You work hard, but it’s never quite enough to impress the people you want to impress. What do you do? You give up. If you’re only out to impress you, every small victory is a major accomplishment. You stay motivated and happier.

13. LIFE ISN’T A COMPETITION.
Having other role models means you constantly compare yourself to that person. You try to be just like them and eventually even better than them. While you’re focused on some imaginary competition, you’re putting so much stress on yourself that you burn out. You don’t have to compete with others. Simply do what’s best for you and remember your life isn’t like anyone else’s. Your only competition is yourself.

Getting your wake-up call is not the hard part, answering the call is. Choosing to answer the call instead of ignoring it is hard, because you know if you do, things are going to change, and change is scary. If hope is all you have, it will help you endure the best and worse of time. Hope will outlast recessions, depressions and human failings. It will stand against disappointments.

You’re driven. You achieve a lot of your goals. Like a tyrant, that little voice in your head demands your absolute commitment to achievement. Heck, you even wrote out plans for achievement. You may think these thoughts and actions are pushing you to achieve but are they the habits of high achievers?

You could also be just the opposite having to constantly tell yourself to stop using Facebook, be more productive, focus more. While these are definitely not the habits of high achievers, you really have the desire to become one.

The real question is, when it comes to life do you just want to just “take it as it comes” or reach for something great? Hopefully you’re serious enough to choose the latter and ready to start your journey to truly become a high achiever.

How to Be a High Achiever
You must begin with discovering something that matters to you in a big way. It must mean enough to light a fire inside of you. Whatever it is, you’re willing to do whatever it takes to get there. You may already know what that is. The key point is having that passionate drive to really push yourself hard to accomplish your goals consistently.

Next, set yourself a BANG – a Big Awesome Nervy Goal with your passion directly in the cross-hair. There is no brain surgery needed here. The goal just needs to be achievable but challenging enough to make you push the envelope so to speak, to get it done. Realize that every time you stretch your boundaries and push your limits, you grow as a person.

Learn To Become A Finisher Through The Completion-Centric Planning Approach
High achievers are obsessed with finishing. Once a project is given to them, they will work obsessively and compulsively to finish it. Some may go about it in an organized way, others may not. But one thing is certain – they will do whatever it takes to get it done.

Cultivating a finisher mentality is not hard to do if you go about it the right way. Let’s start with one truth: real achievement requires you to push very hard. When you work on achieving something one task at a time, it’s easy to bypass these hard pushes by doing lots of easy tasks. Instead, adopt a completion-centric planning approach. With completion-centric planning, you are focused on the completion of projects instead of individual tasks as your daily constitution.

Here’s how it works. Sit down at your computer, open your favourite word processor and do the following:

Make an Active Projects List– List 5-10 of the projects that are most important to you from 3 related categories: professional (related to your job or school), personal (family, home), other (big projects like writing a book, starting a business).
Mark each project with criteria for completion– For each project write a brief description of the actions that must be taken to complete the project.
Make another list on the same page and name it a Holding Pen– Use this list to add new projects while working on the active projects. You can save them here until you’ve completed the current batch.
Working The System
Each day, review your project list and figure out which project that you can make the most progress on that day and do it. Do whatever it takes. If it requires a hard push, go for it. Your biggest goal is to work on completing projects despite other responsibilities outside of these project. Harness an obsession to kill the list.

Work as hard as you possibly can to finish your projects. Once you’ve completed a project take a rest for at least a week. Spend this time doing small amounts of work. Use this time to recharge your energy.

Some Final Thoughts
Following a system that creates a workflow rhythm that’s necessary for completion-centric planning is what high achievers do to accomplish their work. Sure, it doesn’t have the appeal of leisurely working on tasks at your own easy pace but achievement is not pretty. You need to learn to go after your goals with a fierce determination and gusto. This system will teach you to do that. Now, try it for yourself. You might be surprised at what you can achieve!
