Dear Esteemed Patient,

I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. I am writing to you to share some important updates regarding my consultation process, as I continue to adapt to the evolving landscape of healthcare.

After careful consideration and reflection on the future of our practice, I have made the decision to transition my consultations on Tuesdays and Thursdays to virtual appointments. While I understand that change can sometimes be met with caution and hesitation, I firmly believe that embracing virtual consultations is a step forward in providing you with the best possible care.

Virtual consultations offer numerous advantages, including:

Convenience: You'll have the flexibility to connect with me from the comfort of your own home or office, saving you valuable time and eliminating the need for travel.

Financial savings: Travelling costs, in the form of petrol and time away from work are avoided.

Accessibility: Virtual appointments make it easier for patients with mobility challenges or transportation limitations to access our services.

Personalised Attention: Rest assured that the level of attention and dedication you receive during a virtual consultation will be on par with an in-person visit. Your health and well-being remain our top priority, and we will continue to provide the same comprehensive care you've come to expect.

While virtual consultations will now be the primary option on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I want to assure you that in-person appointments, will still take place. There will be the exemptions where I deem it to be clinically necessary, to see you in person. If your personal need is to be seen one on one, there may be quite longer waiting times for these appointments, due to the demand and limited space.

I want to emphasise that my decision to implement virtual consultations is driven by a commitment to improving your overall experience and ensuring that you receive the care you deserve. I will exercise my discretion to determine which patients are best suited for virtual appointments, taking into account individual needs and preferences.

Your feedback and understanding are incredibly important to me as we navigate this transition together. If you have any questions, concerns, or specific preferences regarding virtual consultations, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your health, well being, comfort and satisfaction are paramount, and myself and my staff are here to support you every step of the way.

Increasing lifespan and healthspan are not just about treating disease but about building long-term resilience and vitality. Some say if you live longer, you will spend more time with chronic disease and disability, increasing the burden on society and our health care system. This isn’t true.⁠
⁠⁠
It’s the simple daily habits that hold the key to unlocking your longevity potential. ⁠

Avoid ultra-processed foods 🙅‍♂️ Dysfunctional nutrient-sensing pathways (insulin signaling, mTOR, AMPK, and sirtuins) are the most critical hallmark of aging. Food is the key lever to either harm (with our modern diet) or optimize these pathways. The bottom line: Cut the processed food.

Get quality sleep 😴 Lack of sleep drives most of the hallmarks of aging, especially inflammation, mitochondrial damage, and altered hormonal and nutrient-sensing pathways. Aim for 8 hours of good quality sleep. You can improve your sleep by sticking to a sleep schedule, avoiding screens before bed, creating a dark and quiet space, and much more.

Strength train 🏋️‍♂️ Preserving muscle, building muscle, and optimizing muscle function are the keys to the fountain of youth. Try weight lifting, resistance bands, and body-weight exercise. Ideally do three strength-training days each week to build and maintain your muscles and increase your mitochondria, which in turn will increase your energy, fat burning, and longevity.

Build community and purpose ❤️ The most powerful way to stay healthy and connect to your purpose is to be part of some type of community. It could be a book club or bowling buddies. Those who are connected to others live longer.

Practice stress management. 🧘🏻‍♂️ Chronic stress creates an increased risk for chronic diseases. Try online guided meditations, practicing regular yoga, writing down your deepest feelings, or talking to your close friends.

My biggest aftercare advice to my patients is “don’t apply too much pressure to the areas I’ve injected for the rest of the day”. That would essentially include lying on your face, wearing a tight cap/goggles/hat/sweatband/head torch, resting your face on your hand out of habit and massaging the injected areas. It means that you CAN cleanse your face, or scratch an itch if you need to!

“Don’ts” like avoiding alcohol and exercise are mostly related to bruising, and in our experience these things are more important to avoid BEFORE your injections rather than after, although if you do bruise from your treatment exercise and alcohol will slightly worsen the bruising.

If you need to wear make up after your appointment we do have a few medical-grade recommendations that can be applied under “clean” conditions!

If you’re a seasoned tox-user you pay much attention to B-tox aftercare or do you just go about your day as normal?
