🌿✨ Meet Alexia ✨🌿

With many years of experience teaching Kundalini and Forrest Yoga, Alexia brings a wealth of therapeutic knowledge to her classes. She is also in the final stages of completing her 800-hour Yoga Therapy training through Sat Sangat Yoga Therapy — a programme rooted in Ta**ra, Hatha, Kundalini, Yogic philosophy, and Western science.

As part of her training and the Thursday seva program at Living Yoga, Alexia will be offering Group Yoga Therapy sessions — a powerful space for healing and transformation.

Her first class will be a general practice with a special focus on techniques to support the management of anxiety and depression. 🌸

Join us this Thursday, from 5:30–6:30pm for this beautiful free community class.

We come to our mats to remember our interconnection.
To root ourselves in presence, compassion, and truth.
To feel — and then to act.

Ahimsa means we cannot look away from injustice.
It means standing against violence, occupation, and the silencing of oppressed voices.
It means standing with Palestine.
Because peace is not the absence of conflict — it is the presence of justice.

Our yoga must live beyond the mat.

Join for a sacred circle where breath, movement, and myth meet. Guided by the live harmonium and soulful presence of Sarah Bentz, we’ll journey through the Jivamukti Magic Ten—a grounding sequence of asana infused with pranayama, mantra, and magic.

We’ll explore what it means to live in alignment—with our values, our breath, and the pulse of the Earth.

DIGEST, DETOX and REST

Join this 2 hour MYO-YIN workshop with Baiju Dharmalingam to find a deep release in your upper body .

 

MYO-YIN is the combined practice of Myofascial release and Yin Yoga. You can relieve pain, reduce stress and improve your overall physical performance whether it be in your yoga practice, your athletic performance or general functionality.

 

In the Myo-yin practice, we work with the fascia system in the body. This rehydrates connective tissue, and as a result, muscles and ligaments. This is a practice that works deeply into our fascial system and is a comprehensive and effective method that relieves and eliminates pain, and increases mobility and flexibility from head to toe.

 

Myo-yin also improves your breathing, which helps to release physical and emotional stress and blockages (which manifest themselves in your body in the form of tension and pain).

 

In this workshop, we will do some gentle myo-fascial release in the abdominal area to reset the digestive system as well as releasing tension in the rest of the upper body, followed by a nourishing and detoxifying YiN sequence to cleanse both your physical and energetic body in preparation for the cooler months ( plus a bonus myo-fascial release of the facial area for a natural face-lift and a glowing skin).
You will need to bring  :

 

2 trigger point massage balls (or 2 tennis balls) and

A knee length stocking (or light sock of equivalent length).

This workshop is open to all levels and abilities.
