Last month we did our first ice bath with the residents.
Temperature a cool 8°C, and longest time in just over 4 minutes.
In recovery, practices like this can really support the body and mind:
• Reduces inflammation
• Stimulates natural dopamine release
• Builds stress tolerance and resilience
Because recovery isn’t just about thinking differently, it’s about learning how to be with discomfort without needing to escape it.
The ice becomes a practice in staying.
Breathing.
Choosing.
Not easy. But powerful.
