BELONGING
Bonding and the need to belong are strongest with children but continue throughout life and are forces constraining the success and failure of all group members.



If there is an imbalance in the sense of belonging there are rejections; people feel a sense of emptiness, disconnection, and stress; people leave the group spitefully, feeling that their leaving was insufficiently honoured. However, if there is balance then participating members feel that they are comfortable within the group; they are prepared to pay the price of belonging.
In this workshop you will learn how to enhance the sense of belonging for all members of a family, classroom, staffroom, school, or any other large organisation you are part of.

You will learn the hidden dynamics that that enhance belonging and prevent exclusion.

You will learn ecl tools that you will be able to immediately use in your contexts.



An intended outcome of this workshop is that ‘children and young people develop a greater sense of belonging and bonding, which leads to a mutual responsibility for each other’s well-being. Children, parents, educators and people who care for children develop qualities of respect, concentration and engagement with learning; and importantly, strengthens the partnership between home and school life. ‘
