​Recovery is often a chain reaction of hope. Yesterday, we received a call from a woman whose brother we assisted with an intervention just last month. She reached out because someone she knows was desperate to save her son, J.
​J’s story is a heavy one. He had been using crystal m**h and fell into a drug-induced psychosis two weeks ago. Even more dangerous was the world he had slipped into in Primrose—a circle involving "chicks, drugs, and guns." J knew he had to get out before it was too late.
​We headed out to his mother’s home in Kempton Park, picked him up, and transported him safely to our men’s facility.
​A New Chapter Begins
​Today, J is safe, settling in, and finally away from the chaos. He is ready to begin his "long walk to recovery," and we are honored to walk it with him.

Today took us to Tsakane where we collected S. His mother a nurse contacted us after we assisted her coworkers son just yesterday. S's family was scared as he was suffering from heavy audio and visual psychosis and didnt know what to do. We picked S up, transported him to our partner psych ward where he will undergo a 3 day evaluation and we will then transport him to our medical aid facility where he will undergo the last leg of his recovery. ​Early this morning at 5:30 AM, we received a distressed call from a father in Brakpan. He was deeply worried about his son, T, whose behavior had become increasingly erratic due to a devastating struggle with crystal m**h and mandrax.
​Coincidentally, just last week, we assisted T’s best friend who lives right around the corner. It’s a sobering reminder of how hard these substances hit our communities.
​When we arrived, T was missing. After searching the neighborhood, we located him in a derelict, abandoned building. We are relieved to share that we safely transported him to our partner psychiatric ward.
​The Plan for T:
​Next 72 Hours: Medical evaluation and stabilization in the psych ward.
​The Next Step: Transfer to our specialized medical aid facility in Randburg.
​The Goal: Starting the long, but possible, road to recovery.
​Please keep T and his family in your thoughts as he begins this brave journey. Recovery isn't easy, but it starts with a single step—and today, we took that step together.
