Ayoba Yoga offers Ashtanga Vinyasa classes in a small, personal and un-intimidating. If you have never done yoga before, come join the Beginners class and see what it's all about. If you want to do some safe exercise while you are pregnant, come to the pregnant specific class. If you know all about yoga and want to be physically challenged, increase your flexibility, increase your strength or just have an hour to focus yourself, come to the normal Ashtanga Vinyasa classes. Class prices are as follows:

- Drop in class: R100
- x5 class pass: R350 (payable upfront)
- x10 class pass: R600 (payable upfront)
- Beginners x3 class package: R30/class
- Private class (in studio): R150
- Private class (at home): R200 plus R50 per additional person
- Pregnant yoga class: R250

My worst pose is Pigeon Pose. I absolutely hate it and feel uncomfortable in it the whole time. The only thing that I think about in this pose IS the pose. Totally present. What's the pose you hate the most?

This asana is just too epic not to share...

My goal, when I teach a yoga class, is not just to give you an hour or so of a great work out. That's going to happen regardless. My goal is to create a place where you can explore your body and the ways that it works. My goal is to give you a set of fresh, effective tools to help you move safely into skillful action with grace and a lightness in the heart. There will be stumbles, there will be rough and heavy days- that's simply part of the practice. But, when we move together and when we find the flow, there's beauty in the moment and having the capacity to appreciate that is an all-out miracle. We all have a dazzling light, but it's when we're together that we shine even brighter.

My yoga journey has been plagued by a wrist injury (incidentally, not caused by yoga at all). I have done everything to get my left wrist strong enough to be comfortable bearing almost my full body weight on one hand. It has been the most frustrating part of doing yoga but has probably made me far more conscious of correct hand placement throughout my yoga practice.

Here are some tips and advice on how to get your wrists strong and to avoid wrist injury caused by yoga.

I often hear yogis complain about wrist pain, particularly after a class heavy in planks, chatturangas and arm balances.
