Right to Care Research Esizayo is seeking volunteers to participate in a research study of an investigational medicine being evaluated to see if it reduces hospitalization and death in patients with COVID-19 at high risk for disease progression.

Are you eligible?
• Tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 5 days
• Symptoms started within the last 5 days
• Must meet one of the following:

18 years or older with at least one of the following:
• Down syndrome
• Sickle cell disease
• Dementia
• Parkinson’s disease
• Care home resident
• Have a weakened immune system condition
• Receiving a treatment that lowers the activity of the
body’s immune system
Study participation will include:
• Up to 8 study visits within a 60-day period
• Study procedures include several blood tests, nasal swabs, physical examination, and vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and body temperature)
• Study medication or placebo, two pills twice a day for 5 days, in addition to standard COVID-19 treatment prescribed by study doctor

Quality healthcare for moms-to-be is crucial for ensuring the best outcomes for both mothers and their babies.

Right to Care’s Esizayo Clinic in Cosmo City has announced that subsidised antenatal care is available to 120 women including antenatal visits, screenings, treatment and support throughout their pregnancies thanks to a donation of R250 000.
ASI Financial Services contributed R100 000, Right to Care R100 000, and a personal contribution of R50 000 from Right to Care’s CEO, Dr. Victor Litlhakanyane.
