Winter Preventions: Tips for Both Mother And Child

Winter can be as cold and fierce as anything. If we don’t prepare adequately for the season it can very easily get the best of us and those we love. Mommy & Me have put together some clever little ideas that keep mommy and your little one(s) at the forefront of good health care this winter.

Winter Preventions for Child

Mommy, stop the cold before it enters your home. More likely than not, symptoms of winter illness like the flu come into your home through the little one(s) as their defence system isn't as strong enough as your own. Here are some ways to prevent the winter blues from your little one(s):

• Layer Up - Never too many layers. Keep ‘em covered and smothered is what we like to say.

• Good Hygiene - Use soap and water, and carry around sanitizer. Always a useful handbag essential.

• Immunisation - For Children 6 months and older, get them immunised. Mommy & Me specialise in flu shots and will be happy to assist in this regard.

Winter Preventions for Mommy

We here at Mommy & Me have prepared a list of few things you can pay attention to this winter to keep you and your little one at bay:

• Flu Supplies - You can never have enough of anything. Once one person in the house gets it, you all are targets. Simplify medication for baby, and consult your doctor/specialist before administering to your baby.

• Checklist - Whatever winter essentials you have stored at home, pack a replica in the car, at work and any other place which falls within your routine and travels. Whatever is good for you and especially baby, e.g. wipes, paracetamol.

• Enjoy the Season - As much as it may seem like for you as a mommy, we're preparing you for war, you can also take this time to enjoy the season. Make a list of recipes to try or activities to try, sprouse it up a bit. Plan for your favourite series to binge and make it a family affair!

• Self-care - Don't forget to take care of yourself. Keep your body in check with a good diet, work out. Keep routine and use the times indoors to form positive habits.
