Itās not just about pushing the belly up and outward - but more about allowing the diaphragm to do its job so the ribcage can expand in all directions.
Diaphragmatic breathing should feel slow, quiet, and controlled. The chest and shoulders stay relatively relaxed while the ribs gently widen on the inhale and soften on the exhale.
Start simple: inhale through the nose, ribs expand. Exhale slowly, ribs relax.
