**Mandela Day 2024:

Every year we get our cje kiddies to make sandwiches and we hand it out to the homeless people on their way home. This year we decided to go a different route and support children in need.
At the beginning of the year our cje and cj staff put the word out we are looking people who can knit to make and donate an octopus or teddy bear. We also collected canned food. We got in contact with The Teddy Bear clinic and donated the knitted teddy bears & octopui along with the canned foods, we hope it helps a precious little one feel safe when the world feels a little dark and cold.

We did not stop there. We got our cje children to make art work for children who are sick in hospital. We also collected some baked goodies from our cje parents and staff. The baked goodies went to all the nurses who work long hours to help thesesick children make a speedy recovery.
We dropped off the artwork to Parklane, Sandton clinic and Morningside clinic's paediatric ward. Get well soon little children!

We had a visi from the Mobile zoo today and as usual it was amazing!
Our speech therapist used this as an opportunity to build on and develop vocabulary and turn taking. Our brave little children got to interact and pet some animals too. The visit was also perfect timing as we have just finished all the animal themes in class.
Thank you MobileZoo we always look forward to your visit.
