Vunkuaw afro wellness boutique this page is just a place where I explore my thoughts My name is Carol Mathebula, the founder of Vunkuwa Int’l Academy & Spa in Europe.

I started in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1996. My aim was to promote afro healing culture and afro holistic and wellness approach by creating a truly African platform for this industry where Africa was not recognized. This way Africans became aware of their own culture and inheritance in the wellness industry. In 2004, I moved to Europe where I made a mark with Afro Wellness throughout many countr

ies in Europe, Middle-East and Africa. Therapists all over Europe and the Middle-East where fascinated by this ancient African methodology in wellness. I decided, after 7 years, to bring this afro wellness back to the mother country, South Africa. In my afro wellness center and boutique in Norwood, Johannesburg, you can have treatments with on-spa-made products like body scrubs, body cream, fragrances, body mask and massage oils. These products are freshly made for daily use and a well-chosen aromatic blend of indigenous herbs, well-known in the country. In our academy you learn about Afro-Wellness education and we share the secrets of true afro wellness.
