“Wait… I came here for treatment. Why am I running?!”
One of the most common looks we get in the practice 👀
Yes… sometimes we make you run on a treadmill.
Not because we enjoy watching you sweat.
Not because we secretly run a bootcamp.
And definitely not for entertainment purposes (although the facial expressions can be impressive).
We do it because pain doesn’t always show up on the treatment bed — it shows up in movement.
That knee that “only hurts sometimes”?
That calf that “just feels tight”?
That hip that “acts up on longer runs”?
It often reveals itself when you actually… run.
The treadmill helps us:
✔️ Assess biomechanics
✔️ Spot asymmetries
✔️ Analyse cadence and loading patterns
✔️ See how fatigue changes your movement
Because treating a runner without watching them run is like fixing a golf swing without seeing the swing.
Don’t worry — we’re not trying to break you.
We’re trying to get you back to running without feeling like your legs are negotiating a ceasefire agreement halfway through. 🏃♂️
Assessment first. Smarter rehab next.
