CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA is South Africa’s leading nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting children and teenagers with cancer and life-threatening blood disorders, and their families. Since 1979, CHOC has grown into a national network offering comprehensive care, from psychosocial and emotional support to accommodation, transport assistance, and practical support throughout the treatment journey. Through awareness campaigns, education programmes, and advocacy, CHOC works tirelessly to promote early diagnosis, reduce stigma, and improve outcomes for young patients and their families across the country. CHOC support programmes aim to ensure that children and teens can access the specialised treatment centres and adhere to the treatment journey that can varies from 7 months up to 3 years.
