The VACUMED®, which was developed in conjunction with the GERMAN SPACE AGENCY, acts like a pump, or more precisely, like an external heart for the lower body. Intermittent waves of negative pressure and atmospheric pressure bring about capillarisation and capillary dilation: more oxygen and nutrients are sucked into the extremities resulting in numerous benefits. THE AIM:
In the first lower pressure phase (negative pressure), the arteries swell as plasma and oxygen begin to flow. The now O2 (oxygen) enriched blood helps to raise the pH (balancing electrolytes) in those areas, making this an excellent treatment for diabetics and for those with leg pathologies. O2 (oxygen) levels also increase throughout the rest of the body, improving rejuvenation and feelings of well-being. A pH-balanced body is the pre-requisite for the healthy production of collagen fibers – the building blocks of soft tissue. In the second normal pressure phase (atmospheric pressure) venous blood (blood that has already deposited oxygen and nutrients) and lymph is pressed back to the trunk. This means a relief for the reflux - CO2 (carbon dioxide) and any waste products (e.g. lactic acid and toxins) can be transported away.
