THE BATTLE TO REDUCE DATA PRICES IN SOUTH AFRICA HERE!! BUT ONLY FOR MOBILE DATA?
South Africa’s mobile data prices came under the spotlight in Parliamentary hearings recently, with campaigners calling on Vodacom and MTN to cut their tariffs. mybroadband.co.za reported. South Africa's data prices are higher than many other countries. We also need to get that kind of support for landline, ADSL and Fibre prices.

WE DON'T NEED THE ANC BRAND FOR THE FUTURE

It is time for the country to move on to a new ruling party. South Africa and its people face a new job structure. The ANC concentrate too much on large companies and does not fully understand the need for the SME Businesses concept. Small to Medium Enterprises will create 90% of the jobs in 2030.

DRC's PRESIDENT KABILA VISIT MR ZUMA TO BUY TIME

“This visit is one of internal legitimacy, as Europe and the USA are calling for sanctions and the UN Human Rights Commission to investigate mass killings in Kasai. He needs South Africa to be on his side, as Angola seems to be publicly distancing from him,” human rights lawyer Hubert Masoka Tshiswaka said.

A MOTION ON THE COMMON AGRICULTURAL POLICY

“This figure shows (From SARChI) the stages at which food is lost between the farm and the consumer. Post-harvest loss represents over 60 % of all food loss in developing countries”: the sun.ac.za website reports.
BETTER GRAIN STORAGE METHODS CAN END POST-HARVEST LOSSES.
In Mozambique, farmers develop improved post-harvest techniques by building silos out of mud. Since the inception of the project, over 260 artisans were trained in 15 districts of in building and promoting improved family silos - locally termed "Gorongosa silos”.
In Uganda a method of storing grain in airtight silos — which are basically water tanks of varying size.
This means that it have to be implemented by every farmer in South Africa. It will also create work and fewer food losses.

JUBILEE HOSPITAL IS THE MOST DANGEROUS HOSPITAL IN GAUTENG
It is intolerable that a public hospital with 551 beds is listed as the most dangerous hospital in South Africa. There are reported that the events included negligence, staff incompetence and system failure.
More steps are needed to cut down medical mistakes and ensure that patients are healed rather than injured in our state hospitals.” says TMG Digital.
The Jubilee Hospital made news in 2011 when five premature babies died due to negligence.
Steve Mobana spokesman for the Department of Health made the excuse to say that it is the result of late referrals from clinics for people with complications. This hospital serves a population of 355 905 people in the North West which is almost a half million people.

BANCOR RAISED ABOUT $153 MILLION ON MONDAY 12 JUNE AND BITCOIN DROPPED IN PRICE.

The decline came as major U.S. technology stocks fell for a second straight day on concerns that the sector has risen to unsustainable levels.
At least two major bitcoin exchanges also had problems, while a new blockchain Bancor project raised a record high-level funds on Monday of $153 Million.
The massive amount of money Bancor raised "for a product that's still in very early testing phases has drummed up some skepticism about cryptocurrencies valuations," Alex Sunnarborg, research analyst at CoinDesk said, noting worries that more and more traders are just trying to chase returns.
A sharp move lower Monday afternoon ET illustrated how volatile the Bitcoin cryptocurrency can be.

SOCIAL MEDIA CAN HELP SHAPE THE YOUTH IN SOUTH AFRICA

Social Media can influence healthy behaviors of the Youth in South Africa, it can open the door to greater participation in society and ensure that the Youth issues move higher up on the public agenda.
Challenges around social media access and control, and the extent to which this medium value young people as part of their audience, need to be addressed head on in order to ensure that this platform plays this positive role
Social Media interventions seeking to enhance young people’s well-being need to be better targeted, broadened beyond health, and more firmly embedded in national policy initiatives so as to ensure sustainability.

PIRATE BAY COULD BE BLOCKED BY ISP'S – EU COURT RULED.

Pirate Bay the file-sharing website of free movies, TV shows and music is at risk by breaking the law. That was after the judges at the European Union's top court warned.

the Luxembourg-based EU court of justice said on Wednesday “Making available and managing an online platform for sharing copyright-protected works, such as ‘The Pirate Bay’, may constitute an infringement of copyright,”

THE PIRATE BAY could now face charges of copyright infringement – potentially signalling “the end” of the infamous torrent repository, according to the latest ruling by the European Court of Justice because for copyright infringement that occurs on its online sharing platform.
Torrent files do not actually contain the content you want to download – but instead point your computer towards those who do have the file.
This enables your computer – via a BitTorrent client – to quickly download the file in small chunks from multiple peers spread across the network.
The Pirate Bay and a number of other high-profile torrent repositories are already blocked by a number of European ISP's, including most companies in the UK.

Editor of piracy news blog TorrentFreak, Ernesto van der Sar told the BBC: "Whether if will be effective at stopping the general public from accessing The Pirate Bay remains to be seen.
"There are plenty of workarounds available that allow people to bypass ISP blockades, including reverse proxy sites and VPN [virtual private network] services."
