Silent Hikers awareness post!
A lot of people treat hiking like a magical cure.
Like "go outside and everything will be okay."
But hiking doesn't fix you.
It reveals you.
It reavesl how you handle discomfort.
It reveals how you treat people when you're tired.
It reveals if you're mentally tough or mentally spoiled.
Because on the mountain, there's no shortcut.
No excuses.
No one cares about your status.
And that's why it's so powerful.
Hiking is not therapy.
It's discipline disguised as adventure.
You wake up early.
You carry weight.
You suffer quietly.
You keep moving.
And somewhere in that procress...
Your mind becomes stronger.
Your ego becomes smaller.
Your heart becomes calmer.
So yes, the mountains can heal you.
But not because they're magical.
Because they train you to be the kind of person who doesn't collapse when life gets hard.

Doing the hard work, even when you can’t see the results—that’s true commitment.
While many invest in money, you’re investing in your body, your strength, your long-term wellness.
Showing up on your mat consistently makes you a long-term yogi. Thank you for prioritising yourself.

🌿 Over the past 10 years, we’ve watched students come and go — some for a few weeks, some a few months, some for years.
The most pronounced thing we noticed isn’t what you think. - it's not the flexibility, strength, or even the poses. It’s about how they carry themselves off the mat.
Our yogis who practice consistently:
✨ Shift their mindset of themselves
✨ Start seeing things in daily life as possible
✨ Manage stress more easily and not personally
✨ Move through the day with presence
✨ Feel steadier in their body and mind
✨ Can tell when somethings off long before it even affects them physically.
What have we concluded?
Yoga doesn’t just change your body — it quietly reshapes the way you experience life.
It’s never about perfection or waiting for your schedule to free up. It’s about showing up, learning, and noticing the little shifts that add up over time.
If you’re always “fine” but:
– your shoulders live up near your ears or feel tight
– your jaw is constantly clenched
– you struggle to switch off at night
– you move quickly even when there’s no rush
Your nervous system may be living in overdrive — and you’ve just adapted to it.
This isn’t a personal failure. It’s a common response to modern life.
Practices like yoga don’t add another thing to your week. They create space inside it — so your body and mind can recalibrate.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is slow down.

I started this studio with one thing in mind and that was to create a place for people to come home to. To be able to walk in and know that on no occasion would they be judged for not having the latest yoga clothing or most expensive mat or for not being able to touch their toes! Pai Tula is about belonging to a yoga family not a yoga business. There are enough people in our jobs, our families and our immediate circles that are judging us and expecting heaps of success all the time from us, we shouldn’t have to deal with it in our place of peace too.
So it’s here to make you all feel welcomed, held and supported as though a few pieces of inanimate wood were hugging you for your entire practice!
This is our studio mantra and we stick to it!
Yoga isn’t about our lifestyle, our beliefs, our weight, our diet, our flexibility, how spiritual or enlightened we are—yoga is just about showing up and doing our dance on our mats. Yoga doesn’t care what your hair looks like. Yoga doesn’t care if you wear Lululemon or Spiritual Gangster. Yoga doesn’t care if you are vegetarian, if you eat meat or know what Kombucha is. Yoga doesn’t care when the last time you practiced was—yesterday, six months ago, never. Yoga doesn’t care what kind of mat you have, brand new or eating away at itself. Yoga doesn’t care if you show up cranky or exhausted. Yoga doesn’t care what religion you believe in. Yoga doesn’t care what color your skin is or what gender you choose to love. Yoga doesn’t care if you wear mala beads. Yoga doesn’t care what the tag on the back of your pants says. Yoga doesn’t care if you don’t know what yoga means. Yoga doesn’t care how much money you have, what house you live in, what car you drive. Yoga doesn’t care if you are flexible.Yoga doesn’t care if you fall over in Trikonasana. Yoga doesn’t care if you fart during practice.Yoga doesn’t care if you ever make it into head stand. Yoga doesn’t care if you feel uncomfortable saying Namaste and Om. Yoga doesn’t care if you drink super food smoothies or drink coconut water. Yoga doesn’t care if choose the back corner or the front row of the room to practice. Yoga doesn’t care if you stay to meditate. Yoga doesn’t care if you can put your leg behind your head, or lick your own ass. Yoga doesn’t care if you know what Ujjayi breath is.Yoga doesn’t care if you smoke ci******es, and drink whisky. Yoga doesn’t care if you need to leave class halfway through because you’re dehydrated and need to get water. Yoga doesn’t care if you have a man bun. Yoga doesn’t care if your monkey mind takes over. Yoga doesn’t care how old you are, the color of your hair doesn’t affect your practice. Yoga doesn’t care if you juice or cleanse. Yoga doesn’t care if you shake the entire 60 minutes. Yoga doesn’t care if you only feel comfortable doing yoga in Mexico. Yoga doesn’t care if you spend the entire class in child’s pose. Yoga doesn’t care what political party you vote for. Yoga doesn’t care if you are single or divorced. Yoga doesn’t care if you like Rumi. Yoga doesn’t care if you like your teacher.Yoga doesn’t care if you complete a 30 day challenge. Yoga doesn’t care what version of wheel you go up into. Yoga doesn’t care if you shop at whole foods. Yoga doesn’t care if you remember to shave your armpits. Yoga is just happy you show up.
