Last year the original founders of Genesis, along with a collaborative of midwives and doctors bought and renovated the much loved Genesis Clinic in Joburg🌀

Following positive engagement with the Department of Health and in line with the timeline given by them, we prepared with a full staff complement to launch in November of 2025 🙌

The Department has sadly spent much of the past three months dealing with public scrutiny around the Tembisa Hospital scandal and so have not proceeded with the inspection and licensing of new facilities.

We are so sorry for all the parents who had hoped to give birth here. We are here and ready to serve as soon as the Department gives us the go ahead. We urge those who can to keep the faith and to raise their voices as we ask those in power to engage once again and complete the process of allowing us to offer the standard of family centered, safe and economic maternity care that Genesis is renowned for 🌀

I am an Independent Midwife who has been in private practice since 2010. Having had two emergency caesarean sections myself after long labours, I understand that birth does not always go according to plan, however, my passion still lies in believing in the natural birth process. Creating a safe and sacred space for you and your family is essential for YOUR birth, with informed decision making we are able to create that safe space for families to explore their birth options. It’s not just a baby being born we are developing and creating a new little family. I will help and guide you to bring your new little foot prints into the sands of time.
