The greatest illusion a person can have is believing they are self-made.

Every breath,
every opportunity,
every blessing,
every success…

was only possible because Allah allowed it.

The moment we forget the One who gave us our strength,
we begin to overestimate ourselves.

Stay humble.

Because without Allah’s mercy, guidance and protection,
we are far weaker than we imagine.

May Allah protect us from arrogance and keep our hearts attached to Him alone.

Fatherhood is one of the most beautiful forms of sacrifice.

The early mornings.
The long days.
The silent worries.
The dreams put on hold.

A father gives pieces of himself away, not because he has to…

but because he loves his children more than he loves his comfort.

And one day, when his children stand tall, build families, and live lives filled with opportunity…

they will be standing on sacrifices they never saw.

To every father doing his best: may Allah reward every unseen sacrifice and place barakah in your efforts. Aameen.

A father’s love is often silent.

It’s found in the early mornings,
the long days,
the sleepless nights,
and the sacrifices nobody notices.

He keeps going.
He keeps carrying.
He keeps giving.

Not because it’s easy…

but because someone he loves is depending on him.

To every father doing his best, your children may not understand your sacrifices today, but one day they will look back and realise that much of what they call their blessings came from the things you gave up for them.

Dads don’t lose themselves overnight.
It happens in the margins. Early starts. Late finishes.
Weekends that never feel like weekends.
Until one day he looks in the mirror and doesn’t recognise the man staring back. Not because he stopped trying. Because he never stopped giving.
Stage 1 - He stops being a person. He becomes a function. The provider. The fixer. Work. Home. Beers.
Junk food. Repeat. Needed everywhere. Belonging to no one. Including himself.
Stage 2 - The things that made him disappear.
The sport. The mates. The hobbies that existed before the mortgage and school runs. He calls it a season. The season becomes years. The years become who he is now.
Stage 3 - He runs on routine not purpose.
Wake up. Work. Come home. Collapse. Repeat. Clock watching. Feeling like a caged animal counting down to home time. Present in the building. Absent from his own life.
Stage 4 - He forgets what he actually wants.
Not what the family needs. Not what the job demands.
What he wants. He draws a blank. The question feels selfish. That’s how far gone he is.
Stage 5 - He becomes a stranger. To everyone. Including himself. He loses his motivation. His drive. Stops doing the things he loved. His kids know his schedule not his heart. His partner lives beside him not with him. The man who had fire? He left quietly. Nobody noticed. Neither did he.
This isn’t weakness. It’s what happens when a man pours everything outward and nothing inward. For long enough.
Two things that bring him back:
1. Reclaim something that is just yours.
Not for the family. Not for work. One thing that reminds you who you are outside of your responsibilities. Find it.
Protect it.
2. Get your body back.
When a man feels strong everything shifts. His mood. His confidence. His presence. The gym isn’t vanity. It’s where you remember you still exist.
Which stage are you in? Be honest.
Share this with a dad who needs to read it today.

Eid Mubarak

A reminder that true sacrifice is not only what we place in our hands…
but what we surrender in our hearts for the sake of Allah.

May this Eid bring barakah into your home, peace into your heart, and acceptance to every du’a you’ve whispered quietly to Allah.

May He strengthen our Ummah, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us hearts filled with gratitude, sincerity and tawakkul.

Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones

27/05/2026

Before Eid begins…

can we leave one disease behind?

We have become a people who celebrate scandals, discuss people’s failures, and sometimes become uncomfortable when Allah blesses someone else.

But a believer doesn’t wait for another person to fall.
A believer makes du’a for them to rise.

Your brother’s success does not reduce your rizq.
Your sister’s blessings do not take away your barakah.

Allah’s treasures are not running out.

May Allah cleanse our hearts from envy, protect our tongues from gossip, and make us people who love for others what we love for ourselves. Aameen.

Drop an “Aameen” if our Ummah needs more love and less division.

We spend so much of life
thinking we have time…

time to call them,
time to sit with them,
time to thank them,
time to repay them.

Until one day we realise…

some people would give everything
for one more conversation with their parents.

Love them loudly.
Serve them gently.
Make du’a for them constantly.

Aameen for our parents and those who are with us and those who have returned to Allah.

Sometimes we become attached
to our strength,
our success,
our money,
or our status…

and forget that everything we have
can be taken away
as quickly as it was given.

Stay humble.

Because the things that make you great…
were blessings before they were achievements.
