Aerial Yoga was founded by Michelle Dortignac, a New York Aerial Dance and Yoga Instructor, in 2006. It is a fun, challenging workout routine combining aspects of Yoga, Pilates, Aerial Arts and Strength Training designed to increase strength, mobility and flexibility. BENEFITS OF AERIAL YOGA
• Increased upper body strength and tone.
• Using the sling forces the core muscles to work.
• Reduced spinal compression during backbends.
• Stretch further and deeper with the aid of the sling.
• Holding challenging yoga poses and inversions for longer and correctly.
• Decompression of joints and spine whilst aligning the vertebrae.
