Symptoms of dry eyes vary, but is always very uncomfortable:
Burning or stinging eyes
Eye redness
Stringy mucus in the eye
Light sensitivity
Watery eyes (a response to irritated eyes)
Scratchy sensation in the eye
Difficulty wearing contact lenses
Tired eyes
Prevent dry eyes
You can prevent or relieve mild symptoms of dry eyes by:
Drinking enough water, especially in dry, hot and windy conditions
Blinking more frequently – especially when concentrating intensely or viewing digital devices.
Wearing sunglasses when outdoors and driving
Reviewing the type of medication you use
Avoiding environments with dry and low quality air (e.g. smoke, air conditioned rooms)
Annual eye examinations are vital to ensure that your eyes remain healthy throughout your life.
