Future Wings Academy, is a program that offers a therapeutic remedial learning centre for small groups of learners that requires individualized remedial assistance.
The program combines scholastic tasks as well as assistance with barriers to assessments/concessions. Our aim is to mentor/tutor Gr 1- 7 children to better perform and understand CAPS, the South African curriculum, by adding individual attention and therapeutic methodology in a safe and qualified environment.
What do we mean by therapeutic, well, the Future Wings Academy, is unique as the program was compiled by the team of Therapists.
The program is followed in a group setting every day in a familiar environment between set hours; therefore, forming part of their daily routine. The program also includes fine and gross motor activities, a visual perception program, sensory stimulation, and auditory discrimination activities. Other intervention programs included in our program is. Self-Regulation program which is implemented in a daily routine to assist with modulation and concentration difficulties.
