SA women’s team are the Champions!!
The finals against Egypt was a spectacular advert for the game of Badminton in general and more specifically the grit and culture of giving every ounce of energy from the South African team.
The final score line of 3-1 suggest comfort but starting with the first singles, Nita fought for every point as the game ebbed and flowed for over an hour to secure the first point.
Elme took over the momentum in the second singles and played a captain’s innings to moved her opponent around to frustration and secure a 2-0 lead.
Amy played her heart out in the third singles and even though the point went to Egypt, the fight in Amy sent Egypt the message that we will fight for every centimetre.
With the score at 2-1, SA’s trump card was on court with Amy and Nita showing their class and after a jittery start, got their groove and the Africa title is securely on it’s way to South Africa!

Super well done to Mandy Bunting who completed her midmar mile today in an official time of 51min 11sec. Mandy made a huge change by taking up swimming as her new sport to allow her body to heal from years of intense impact on her joints. It truly is paying off. So proud of you!

💬 “Why do Directional Preference exercises help?
Because patients are doing them.” – Georg Supp

This quote captures something beautifully simple — and clinically powerful.

In the McKenzie Method®, not every patient has a Directional Preference (DP)… but for those who do, the solution is often remarkably straightforward:

➡️ The exercises feel good.
➡️ They reduce symptoms quickly.
➡️ They restore function — often immediately.

And when patients feel the improvement, they’re more likely to actually do the exercises consistently.
That’s the magic of a patient-centred system:
🔹 simple,
🔹 targeted,
🔹 effective,
🔹 and driven by the individual’s own response.

Directional Preference isn’t guesswork — it’s discovered through MDT’s structured, reliable assessment process. And when it’s present, the outcome can be life-changing.
