A common cause for back injuries is poor lifting techniques in the workplace and home.
Sometimes lifting your child into your arms or moving a small box can send you into a frenzy of pain and discomfort.
Here are some great tips to consider if you are lifting objects:

• Think about the lift before you do it. If you know the parcel is too heavy for one person, ask for help.
• Don’t bend at your back when lifting. Rather use your legs.
• Do not twist your body while lifting objects. Keep your body straight and use your feet to turn around if you need to change direction instead of twisting from your waist.
