Hello to all my friends and acquaintances. I have some very personal reasons for this post. It is part of an 'experiment'. The true colour of people comes out when there is no attention to them. Unfortunately, some friends are about to press "like" but don't actually read it because it takes time to read this statement, and when they see that it's long, they skip it.
Now, look at who takes the time to read this post to the end. (I think I'll get by; 5, maybe 6 will.) If I'm on Facebook, it's because I care. I'd like to see if we can still chat more than just liking each other. I decided to participate in an experience called "Bread Encounter." The idea is to see who reads posts without photos. As we may be so consumed by technology we may forget the most important thing; good friendships. It is a social experiment to see if you read this message. if you finish to the end, I ask you to comment in one word about us. For example, a place, an object, a person, or a moment when you remember me. Then repeat this for you; copy this text and publish it on your page (don't share it). I will go to your page to leave a word that reminds me of you. Please don't comment if you don't have time to copy the text as this will destroy the experiment.
Let's see who spent time reading and responding according to people.
Thanks for participating.

This is plantain, two different species of plantain.
Narrow-leafed plantain is on the left next to broad-leafed plantain on the right.
Both leaves are edible. Narrow-leafed is more bitter whereas as broad-leafed is more palatable because narrow-leafed contains more medicinal constituents (making it more bitter). Overall, the leaves taste best in Spring but you can still use them when needed!
Notice the parallel veins of the leaf and the tall stalk with little flowers. Those are identifying markers.
Have you ever heard of psyllium husk? It comes from the seeds of a type of plantain stalk but all plantain seeds have that mucilaginous quality. Psyllium husk is a binding agent used in fiber products and gluten-free baking.
If you go camping and need to know any plant, this might be it. Chew up those leaves and put them right on bee stings and bug bites. 🐝 They will cool them down, stop itching, and draw out the venom.
Also, posted below, a study that showed plantain might actually help liver damage when dealing with APAP toxicity!
God's creations truly heals!
Don't use or eat something if you don't know what it is!

YARROW: THE HEALING HERB OF ACHILLES
This herb has above ground parts can be used to make medicine, used for fever, common cold, hay fever, absence of menstruation, dysentery, diarrhea, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal (GI) tract discomfort, and to induce sweating. Some people chew thevfresh leaves to relieve toothache.

People found it to have antiseptic properties. This plant heals wounds and activates blood platelets to promote healing. This oil also has bactericidal and antifungal properties, which prevents infection.

Yarrow has a strong licorice-like scent and a mildly sweet flavor that's similar to tarragon. The entire plant is edible, but it's the leaves and flowers that are especially popular to use in recipes. It can be dried and used as a spice, while the fresh flowers and leaves are also great for salads, soups, and stews.

Yarrow comes in several forms, including powders, ointments, tinctures, extracts, and dried leaves and flowers. The leaves and flowers can be made into tea by steeping 1-2 teaspoons of my dried flowers in a tea pot, let sit for 20 minutes.

1. Yarrow may be a great diaphoretic.

A diaphoretic food increases perspiration, so the oil has shown to increase perspiration and help remove toxins, excess salt, and water from the body. Extra sweat also cools the body down and gives relief from fevers.

2. Yarrow may assist in digestion.
It helps with the secretion of enzymes and digestive juice and increases appetite; both qualities aid in digestion.

3. It can be antiseptic.

Yarrow have been used for antiseptic properties as the plant heals wounds and activates blood platelets to promote healing. My oil also has bactericidal and antifungal properties, which prevents infection.

4. It may help with muscle spasms.

A muscle spasm is an involuntary skeletal muscle contraction. Muscle spasms in the respiratory system can cause severe coughs. The oil can help individuals by having a relaxing, antispasmodic effect on muscles, nerves, intestines and respiratory tracts.

5. It may be anti-inflammatory.

The essential oil has anti-inflammatory properties that help the nasal or respiratory tract resulting from the common cold, the digestive system caused by overeating of spicy food, or the circulatory system caused by any toxin getting into the bloodstream.

6. It may help you stay looking young.

Yarrow keep the skin free from dryness, cracks, and unsightly marks. This keeps the skin looking smooth and young.

7. It may help tone the body.

Yarrow help optimize metabolic functions like decomposition of food and the absorption of nutrients by toning up the liver, stomach, and intestines and help individuals grow stronger and healthier. It assists in proper excretion, regulate the endocrine secretions of hormones and enzymes and boost the immune system.
