Dr. Cathy Parsons

Dr. Cathy Parsons Dr. Cathy Parsons is a renowned family practitioner serving the Kimberley community since 1987. Dr. Cathy Parsons matriculated in 1973. She graduated in 1986.

She obtained the degree BA(Log) at the University of
Pretoria in 1977, where after she worked as a Speech Therapist and Audiologist in Windhoek,
Namibia. As a result of her exposure to and interest in the pure medical field, she started studies at the
University of the Free State towards becoming a medical doctor in 1981. On completion of her studies, she started her internship at the then Kimberl

ey Hospital. After
working in various departments, she left the hospital in 1989 to enter private practice. At first, the practice was operating from a house in Monument Heights, but towards the end of1989, the practice was relocated to its current location in 189 Du Toitspan Road. In the intervening years, the building has been adapted and modernized to suit the practice and today offers two consulting rooms, a sonar room as well as a procedure room. Interests
Apart from the challenges of a modern general medical practice, Dr. Parsons has a keen interest in Obstetrics and is one of only a few general practitioners in Kimberley still active in delivering babies. She is also proud to be a family practitioner in all senses of the word.
