What an amazing week! We attended the Prosthetic Gait Training event in Cape Town and Johannesburg. We were excited to have , a physiotherapist from Kimberley, join us to experience what prosthetic gait training entails!

We also had the opportunity to share the event in Johannesburg with a biokineticist from Kimberley.

The training was facilitated by Lisan Scheepers, a passionate Clinical Specialist with a background in physiotherapy all the way from the Netherlands. We learned so much and can't wait to put our new skills into practice. Thank you, Ossur, for this incredible opportunity! 🙌

🩵🩵🩵!! Custom carbon fiber AFO helping our stroke patient regain mobility.

When a stroke (CVA) affects the brain's motor control, it can cause drop foot where the foot doesn't lift (dorsiflex) properly during walking, leading to dragging or tripping. An AFO provides the support needed to lift the foot and restore a more natural gait.

We manufactured this surgical shoe for one if our patients with a fixed foot deformity. The calluses you see are from constant pressure in all the wrong places. This shoe helps offload those areas and makes walking safer and more comfortable. 😁🦶👞
