🚨POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING EXTREME HEAT WARNING FOR SA: THESE 12 DISTRICTS ARE ON HIGH ALERT.

⚠️A full moon tide has been reported in the Mother City, and a Yellow Level 2 Warning is also in place, due to the threat posed by dangerously-high waves. However, Heatstroke remains the primary concern.

ℹA Heatstroke is a condition marked by fever and often by unconsciousness, caused by failure of the body's temperature-regulating mechanism when exposed to excessively high temperatures. It can be fatal if medical attention is not available immediately.

A dozen districts are now on high alert, and this particular weather warning will remain in place for these locations until Sunday morning:

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To attend events, standby's & emergency calls and provide basic medical care in line with scope of practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Ensure operational readiness for emergency calls
Administer patient care in line with scope of practice
Market and maintain a positive public image for the company

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION

Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

1-year road BLS experience

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Facilities, travel routes and demographical area
HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice
Application of best practice
EMS environment
Proficiency in the Afrikaans & English language (written and verbal)
Patient Report Forms

SALARIES
Salaries will be discussed during the interview.

OTHER

All candidates will undergo a physical, theoretical and practical assessment.
