A DECADE OF PASSION & PURPOSE. It has been 10 years since I dreamt up the Nutrilicious Kitchen. In 2016, after a very difficult couple of years, I wanted to create something that felt aligned with my passion and purpose rather than just following a conventional career path. I wanted to be able to share my love of healthy food, to inspire fun and creativity in the kitchen and to encourage healthier lifestyle choices as a form of disease prevention and supportive care when faced with illness.
I remember sitting in our little log cabin imagining it as a quirky teaching kitchen with a vegetable garden. The first workshop took place on the 27th February 2016. In 2017, we lost everything in the Knysna Fires. Before this devastating turn of events, I had been working on a recipe book. Thankfully the Nutrilicious Kitchen lived on in the creation of this book. The Nutrilicious Kitchen has been reimagined many times. It has had to adapt and evolve with the circumstances and seasons of my life. While I am incredibly proud of all that has been achieved, I couldn’t have done this without the support and love from my husband and family, friends that cheered me on and all of you who have joined for workshops, participated in wellness weeks, bought my book, made my recipes, asked me to cook for you, given me constructive feedback, enjoyed my creations, consulted with me and connected in real life and on social media.
I’m so grateful to all of you🩷
