Today marks one month since we moved into our new home: our very own office and warehouse.

On 1 July 2025, we walked through these doors for the first time. One month later, we’re still in awe - of the journey, the people, and the dream we get to live every day.

This carousel tells our story - starting with our founder in front of the office and unfolding all the way back to where it began: in a home garage, with a single phototherapy light and a mission to help.

What began as a small side practice quickly grew. As patients placed their trust in us, and our team expanded, the boxes in the garage multiplied. And with each staff member that joined, each family we helped, our purpose became clearer.

💛 We started this because we believed care should meet people where they are - gently, professionally, and with heart. We started as a mobile clinic, consulting at patient’s homes - and while this is still active: we can grow into our new home.

To every patient who welcomed us into their home,
To every medical aid that partnered with us,
To every team member who showed up and gave their all -
Thank you. You helped build this space. ❤️

This is not just an office. It’s a symbol of what’s possible when people believe in the dream of compassionate, accessible healthcare.

From the beginning, He made a way where there was none, opened doors we couldn’t see, and provided strength in every season. We give Him the glory for what has been built and for what’s still to come.🙌 ❤️💛💚

🧡 This week, we had the privilege of spending time at House of Thembiso and it was something we’ll never forget.

Our team spent a short shift at the home, and got to see firsthand the love, care, and quiet dedication that happens there every day.

We also had a donation run and want to extend a very special thank you to .swanepoel.54 for her generous donation and for taking time out of her day to join us at the house. Your kindness made a real difference! ❤️

👶💫 For some of our admin team, it was the very first time holding or feeding a baby and the joy on their faces said it all. We fell in love with the most beautiful little souls, and left with full hearts.

House of Thembiso is doing life-changing work. We’re honoured to walk alongside them - not just today, but going forward.

🕊️ On this Mandela Day, we’d love to introduce you to something close to our hearts.

The special project and lifelong connection we’ve made throughout this time is House of Thembiso, and we want you to get to know them too!

🏠 House of Thembiso (“Thembiso” means “promise” in Xhosa) is a registered Child and Youth Care Centre based in Langeberg, Cape Town. They provide vital care and a safe, loving home for abandoned and vulnerable infants under 2 years old.

💛 Since 2007, they’ve cared for over 200 babies, offering round-the-clock support from a dedicated team of full-time staff. Every baby receives medical, emotional, and developmental care every single day. Some children are adopted — even abroad. Others are placed in foster care or reunited with their families.

🕰️ This goes beyond Mandela Day. It’s a need that exists all year long.
They are a self-sustaining non-profit that depends on donations and community support to keep going, even though they receive some support from the Department of Social Development.

🌟 Here’s how you can assist:
🍼 Contribute money, formula, or diapers
🤲 Help with fundraising or volunteer work
📢 Share their story and help raise awareness

House of Thembiso is a promise fulfilled — not just a place to live.
Let’s stand with them in love and action. Not just for 67 minutes, but every time we have the chance.

Last we heard, Gordy the elephant seal had made his way to Simon’s Town - battered, bruised, and a little yellow from his arduous journey. Naturally, we jumped into action.

💧 He got IV antibiotics for infection.
🩹 Minor wounds? Cleaned and dressed.
🔵 A touch of jaundice? Treated under our neonatal phototherapy lights.

Best part? Everything was covered by his medical aid. (He’s apparently on the Discovery Seal Saver Plan 🐾)

If we could help Gordy in a pinch, what’s stopping us from helping you?

We come to you. Even if you’re a seal.🦭

Today, on World Haemophilia Day, we want to honour someone incredibly special to us.

This is Myrna – pictured here with her husband Jeff, and Sr Martha, one of our amazing nurses. For almost 3 years, Myrna has received her weekly Haemosulfate infusions at home through Pro Homecare — and honestly, we can’t say enough about the kind of person she is.

There’s something about Myrna and Jeff — their kindness, humility, and the trust they’ve placed in us — that reminds us exactly why we do what we do. They’ve become part of the Pro Homecare family, and caring for them never feels like work, but a true privilege ❤️

This year’s World Haemophilia Day theme is
“Equitable access for all: recognizing all bleeding disorders.” 🌍

Myrna doesn’t have to navigate busy hospitals or long waiting rooms. Instead, she receives the care she needs in the comfort of her own home 🏡 — quietly, consistently, and with the people she loves close by.

💉 Haemosolvate treatments are administered weekly to help manage her bleeding disorder and prevent complications — all without leaving her familiar space, surrounded by love and support.

To patients like Myrna — thank you for showing us what grace and resilience really look like.
To our nurses — thank you for walking in with skill and heart, every single time.
To our whole Pro Homecare family — thank you for being the reason this kind of care is possible.

We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re proud to walk this journey with you every step of the way.
