Please join us in welcoming our newest doctor, Dr Lindy Venter!

Dr Venter is originally from East London. She completed her studies in 2022 at the University of the Free State.
Thereafter she did her internship at Frere Hospital in East London and landed in Kroonstad for her community service at Lesedi Clinic (and Boitumelo Casualty) in 2025.

She has keen interests in internal medicine but has a special place in her heart for palliative care and oncology.

Her hobbies include reading, cooking (braaiing) and running

We look forward to seeing her bloom her within the practice!

Introducing the weekly "Skin Clinic"!
We will be making use of Wednesday afternoons for bookings regarding any and all skin concerns with Dr Moodley.
Please make sure to call our reception and book your slot in advance.

We would like to extend early festive greetings to all our valued patients!
2025 was such an eventful year at our practice, here is some of our latest news updates:

Dr Claassens:
After 42 years of serving the Kroonstad community, Dr Claassens has decided to retire at the end of this year. We wish him a well deserved period of rest, and express our utmost gratitude to him for his guidance and support over the years.

Dr Nel:
As a founding member of the Practice, Dr Nel's aim for the recent years has been to involve younger Professionals within the practice, in order to allow for an improved level of service. And after serving Kroonstad for 36 years, he plans to retire in 2027.
Rest assured, all his patients can still depend on quality medical care that will be provided by the rest of the team.

Dr Barnard:
After 5 years of dedication to the practice, not only has she achieved her qualification in Emergency Medicine & Critical Care, but she has also acquired "Nel & Barnard Practitioners" as the sole owner.
We all wish her the very best of success!

Dr Moodley:
Dr Moodley has recently acquired her Diploma in Clinical Dermatology, and will soon start a dedicated weekly skin consultation service within the practice. More details regarding the "Skin Clinic" will be shared towards the end of the week.

Dr Hatia:
Dr Hatia will continue to provide anaesthetic services to Netcare Kroon & Mediclinic Welkom, in addition to his consultations at the practice.

We would also like to extend our well wishes to Dr Moodley for completing her Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
She will be managing any skin related conditions and concerns for our patients at the practice.
