MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo Ralehoko, has assured Gauteng residents that our emergency fleet is fully maintained and ready for deployment this festive season, with 520 ambulances and specialized vehicles including ICU units, response cars, rescue services, and disaster buses. A dedicated team of 1 028 staff per shift is prepared to respond swiftly to save lives. The Provincial Health Operations Centre is equipped to monitor call volumes, track response times, manage hospital diversions, and oversee emergency operations across Gauteng’s five districts.
