✨ Freedom Day 🇿🇦

Today, we reflect on the gift of freedom — the freedom to live, to grow, to heal, and to become.

At our practice, we are reminded daily that freedom also lives in the smaller, personal journeys…
The freedom to feel comfortable in your own body.
The freedom to restore what was lost.
The freedom to move through life with confidence and dignity.

Every story we are entrusted with is unique — and every step toward healing is a quiet celebration of that freedom.

Today, we honour where we come from, and the journey that allows us to care for others with purpose and compassion.

Wishing you a meaningful and reflective Freedom Day 🤍

✨ Eating & Surgery – Part 1

One of the most important steps before surgery is fasting.

Patients are required to be NPO (nil per mouth) for a specific period before their procedure — meaning no food or fluids.

This is essential for your safety during anaesthesia.

When the stomach is not empty, it can increase the risk of complications while you are asleep during surgery.

Although it may feel uncomfortable, fasting is a necessary and protective step to ensure your procedure is as safe as possible.

Every instruction given before surgery has a purpose — and this is one of the most important ones.

In Part 2, we’ll talk about what to expect after surgery when it comes to eating 🤍

✨ Breast Reduction Transformation 2025 ✨

This beautiful result reflects more than just a physical change… it’s about relief, balance, and renewed confidence.

Breast reduction surgery is often sought not only for aesthetic reasons, but to help alleviate:

• back, neck and shoulder pain
• discomfort during daily activities
• difficulty with exercise
• challenges with clothing fit

In this case, Dr Jonel carefully reshaped and reduced the breast tissue to create a more proportionate, lifted and natural silhouette — always tailored to the patient’s body and goals.

The outcome?
Lighter.
More comfortable.
More confident 🤍

Every journey is unique, and every result is approached with precision, care, and a focus on long-term wellbeing.

If you’ve been considering breast reduction, this is your reminder that you don’t have to live in discomfort.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SCARS✨ Part 3

One of the most common concerns patients have is:
“Will my scar be visible?”

The truth is — scars are permanent, but they evolve over time.

In the early stages, scars may appear:

• red
• raised
• firm

As healing progresses, they typically become:

• softer
• flatter
• lighter in colour

This process can take several months to a year.

With proper care, most scars settle beautifully.

The goal is not to erase scars — but to ensure they heal as fine, soft, and discreet as possible.

Because healing is a journey… and we walk it with you every step of the way 🤍

HOW TO CARE FOR SCARS✨ Part 2

Scar care plays a crucial role in how your final result looks.

Simple steps can make a significant difference over time.

Dr Jonel often recommends:

• Micropore taping to reduce tension on the wound
• Keeping the area clean and supported
• Avoiding unnecessary strain or movement
• Following post-operative instructions carefully

Tension is one of the biggest contributors to poor scarring. The more strain placed on a healing incision, the more visible the scar may become.

That’s why consistent, gentle care is key.

Scar care is not about perfection — it’s about giving your body the best possible environment to heal well.

In Part 3, we’ll discuss what to expect long-term 🤍

✨ Let’s Talk: Eating & Surgery

One of the most common questions we get asked is:
“When can I eat before and after surgery?”

Before surgery, patients are required to fast (no food or fluids) for a specific period. This is essential for your safety during anaesthesia.

An empty stomach helps prevent complications while you are asleep during the procedure.

After surgery, many patients are surprised to learn that it’s completely normal not to feel hungry right away.

You may experience:
• a reduced appetite
• slight nausea
• or simply not feel like eating

And that’s okay.

There is no need to force yourself to eat immediately after surgery. Your body will guide you as your appetite gradually returns.

Hydration is important, and you will also receive fluids during your procedure.

The most important thing is to:
🤍 listen to your body
🤍 take things slowly
🤍 follow your post-operative guidance

Recovery looks different for everyone — and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

From the waving palms… 🌿
to the quiet table 🍞
to the cross ✝️
to the silence of the tomb… 🕊

And now…
✨ He is risen ✨

This week has been a reminder that even in our darkest moments,
even in the waiting,
even in the silence…

God is always working.

Sunday is not just the end of the story,
it is the beginning of hope,
of renewal,
of life.

Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Easter Sunday 🤍

May your hearts be filled with peace, faith, and the quiet assurance that light always rises again.

Resurrection Sunday 🌅

He is Risen! 👑
The stone was rolled away — and so was every fear, doubt, and limitation.

Resurrection isn’t just about what happened then — it’s about what’s possible now.🤍
A new beginning. A new identity. A new kind of beauty born from the ashes.🤍

No matter what you’ve faced, there is always hope on the other side.
So rise. In faith. In joy. In freedom.

Wishing you and your family a Resurrection Sunday filled with light, love, and lasting renewal.

From all of us at Dr Jonel’s rooms, we would like to wish you a Blessed Easter Sunday. ✝️🤍

Holy Saturday👑

The world was silent.
The tomb was sealed.
Hope, at first glance, looked buried.
But beneath the silence… Heaven was stirring.☁️♥️

Holy Saturday is the waiting — the in-between.
A reminder that even in our own seasons of stillness or uncertainty, God is working behind the scenes.

It’s okay to rest. To pause. To feel.
Healing happens in the hush.

Take this day to reflect, release, and trust the process.♥️
The breakthrough is coming….

𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚 👑

He chose the cross. ✞
He bore the weight of humanity’s sin, pain, and brokenness. With each step to Calvary, love led the way.♥️

At noon, darkness fell.
By 3pm, the curtain tore.
Heaven touched Earth.
And with one final breath, He said, “It is finished.”

A love that paid it all.
A sacrifice that changed everything.

Let this day remind us — healing often begins with surrender.

With reverence and gratitude, we honour this sacred day.

May your heart find stillness in the shadow of the cross. ♥️

𝑴𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚 †❤︎

He broke the bread🍞 , poured the wine🍷 , and spoke of love ♥️—
Even knowing what would come next.

This moment was sacred. Intimate. A covenant of grace for all.

It was the last Passover that Christians would need to celebrate —
because Jesus took over the Passover with His blood.

“This is my body... this is my blood of the covenant...”
— Matthew 26:26–28

Wishing you a blessed Holy Week from 𝑫𝒓. 𝑱𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒍.♥️🙏🏼
