My aim of counseling is to help people to deal with their problems in order to reach optimum mental health. My clients need to realize that they are created uniquely and that God has a definite plan for their lives. By helping them to become part of the plan for their lives which God has put in place before the creation of the world, they will be able to reach the potential and accomplish the way of living He had predestined. For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. My counsellling approach is integrative. I believe that all clients should be treated with dignity and worth. All people possess self-actualization potential and need to be loved, accepted, and respected. Self-concept and positive regard are of great importance “for as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Prov. 23:7 – Amplified Bible). I believe that distorted thought patterns are the foundations of wrong thinking, wrong interpretations, negative emotions, and ultimately negative behavior. Negative behavior is often a defensive mechanism to protect the self. In the counselling process principles of the person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamics, and humanistic approaches are applied from a Biblical perspective. I also utilize theophostic principles (prayer ministry) to accomplish inner healing if necessary. Healing is sought on biological, social, and spiritual levels. Counselling services include:

Continuous professional development (CPD) and ongoing learning enable me to acquire a range of skills that can be very beneficial in the treatment of my clients. Counseling services and fees. Sessions are charged at R450 for one hour. I prefer to be paid directly by clients in cash who can then claim from their medical aids. Clients may also pay by electronic means if so arranged.
