In Picture-As part of its term program, this morning, the Health and Wellness Portfolio Committee conducted the planned oversight visit at Yusuf Dadoo Hospital

Led by the Chairperson, Hon. Letsoalo, this special visit enabled the team to have direct engagements with the Management of the institution, observe operations on the ground, assess the overall functioning of the institution in relation to the provision of healthcare services.
Main focus was on:
Quality of patient care
Patient satisfaction levels
Availability of essential medicines
Infrastructure related challenges
Human Resources capacity and related challenges.
Appreciations for the support of all the managers including the West Rand District Health Services, Chief Director, Thembokuhle Ntuli-Karigani.

In Picture- This Morning Dr Yusuf Dadoo Hospital's Environmental Health and Infection prevention and Control Department commemorated World Malaria day with valuable insights to empower patients with knowledge to protect themselves and their families. An informative and engaging health talk aimed at raising awareness about malaria symptoms, treatment and prevention was held.

Patients and Staff were educated on recognising early symptoms and the myth regarding Malaria amongst the locals.

Yusuf Dadoo Hospital has a travel clinic in-house which offers all the treatment required before travelling to Malaria endemic areas.
